For those who see things from a Christian perspective, according to Jesus, the first commandment is to love God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your mind.
How do we experience God in our lives so that we can fulfill this commandment? It is difficult to love anything with such totality if it is an abstract concept, or story from thousands of years ago, or something impersonal.
How do we experience God in our lives today?
It is the totality of what we experience. There is that which we call "God" in everything that we experience. There is nothing that we experience in which that which we call "God" is not present.
I experience the air that I breath, and the water that I drink, and the food that I eat. Those necessities are only a slight part of what I experience.
I experience my oneness with the whole. Everything that happens is part of me. What does that mean in terms of fulfilling the first commandment for each of us to love God with our all?
Before pondering that further right now, it might be good to bring forward the second commandment which is to love your neighbor as yourself. The example that is given is the parable of the good Samaritan which tells us that our neighbor might be someone we do not expect.
Each and every one of us is One with the whole; infinite and eternal.
